Hixstep, Egypt, Oct. 20, 1995 – Military Trials of Dissidents Begin


A month before parliamentary elections, the Egyptian government begins trials of dozens of members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in military courts. This is the first time military courts have prosecuted Egyptian dissidents in 30 years. Sunni Khalid reports from a court room set up on a military base in Hixstep, about 30 miles from Cairo.
